Thrown match striker pots

I enjoy making simple functional forms that are meant to be handled and enjoyed on a daily basis. These striker pots were thrown on the wheel ,then bisque fired, after this step the glaze was applied then the piece was fired again to 1280 degrees in an electric kiln.

Made from stoneware clay , a series of overlapping glazes creating a beautiful landscape
